Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) is a non-invasive test that measures the levels of minerals and toxic elements found in your hair.
Because hair grows slowly, the sample provides a snapshot of mineral patterns over approximately the previous 6–8 weeks, rather than reflecting what is happening on a single day.

Blood tests measure minerals circulating in the bloodstream at a specific moment in time. Because the body tightly regulates serum mineral levels, blood markers may appear within the “normal” range even when deeper mineral imbalances exist.
For example, serum magnesium can appear normal even when intracellular magnesium stores are depleted by 20–40%.
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) measures mineral accumulation in the hair over approximately 2–3 months, providing insight into longer-term mineral patterns that a single blood test may not reveal — including mineral deficiencies, stress response, metabolic patterns, blood sugar regulation, and toxic element exposure.
HTMA is not a replacement for blood testing, but it can offer another layer of information to better understand how your body is adapting and using nutrients over time.

Your sample is then sent to the laboratory for analysis, and your results are reviewed before our consultation.
